The Arius series YDP-184 digital piano is equipped with the heart shaking sound of Yamaha's flagship concert grand piano CFX. You can use the piano workshop function to adjust various parameters, such as chord resonance, tuning resonance, and tactile sensitivity, to personalize and adjust your piano timbre. Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) truly imitates the rich overtones and resonance conveyed by the collaborative efforts of numerous structures such as the acoustic piano's internal soundboard and strings.
The sound and highly realistic touch of a realistic grand grand piano complement the expressive keyboard, creating the flagship model YDP-184 in the Arius digital piano series. By using a springless hammer structure similar to that of a grand piano, the GH3 keyboard reproduces the excellent tactile feel of an acoustic piano, with a slightly heavier feel in the low range and a slightly lighter feel in the high range. Equipped with a 3-sensor system, it accurately detects and restores keyboard movements, reproducing the experience of playing the grand piano.
Yamaha's flagship 9-foot concert grand piano, CFX, provides brilliant and sparkling high notes and resonant rich low notes, allowing piano sound to be transmitted to any corner of the concert hall. At the 2010 Chopin International Piano Competition, the champion used the CFX piano to perform the work brilliantly. Since then, CFX has also been recognized by the industry as an outstanding grand piano in the world.
In a grand piano, the sound resonates throughout the entire body and conveys a rich overtone that envelops the performer and audience. This acoustic phenomenon is reproduced by the Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) technology in the Arius series.
Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) calculates the complex vibrations of the strings corresponding to 88 keys in real-time, including details such as the sound transfer method between notes, as well as the time and depth of pressing the sound pedal.
The new VRM technology now includes non working chord resonance in the high pitch area, as well as overall resonance in piano panels, frames, and other components. This technology endows the piano with vivid, bright, and varied expressive power, faithfully restoring the endless possibilities of the piano.
